Richmond finally gets a Walmart!

This new Walmart is located in the 359,090 square foot urban shopping centre “Central at Garden City” – of which the Walmart Supercentre is the mall’s prime anchor retailer.

The 163,000-square-foot Walmart Supercentre features a new layout, an updated colour scheme and a broad assortment of fresh groceries, general merchandise, and convenient services available at Walmart’s low prices every day.

Walmart, Marshalls, Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW), and Bed Bath and Beyond, along with restaurants, banks, services and retailers, have opened their doors to eager shoppers who have been waiting for the centre to open, particularly Walmart, which has been a long time coming for Richmond.

Located at the northeast corner of Garden City Road and Alderbridge Way, in addition to the broad range of shops and services, Central at Garden City provides many amenities to the local community including new bike lanes along Garden City Road and Alderbridge Way, sidewalks where none have existed before, a new public green space, public plazas for gathering and pedestrian pathways throughout the 15 acre site.
