YVR Airside Operations
YVR Airside Operations Building
Beauty and Functionality
YVR is in the midst of building its new Airside Operations Building, a state-of-the-art facility that will open in January, 2015.
The AOB, as it is commonly referred to, will replace the existing 40-year-old fire hall on YVR’s airfield and consolidate all airside operations into one, central airfield location.
From emergency response to snow removal and all airside activities in between, the AOB will support a heightened level of collaboration in order to maintain the highest level of safety for the travelling public and YVR employees.
This project incorporates some very attractive and visually interesting architecture in addition to it’s critical functionality as an emergency response centre.
Work performed by Peninsula Wall + Ceiling: Steel framing; insulation; acoustical suspended ceilings; high-end wooden suspended ceilings; high-end wooden walls; drywall; tape and fill.
